Picture Books

Tell your story—with a little help from J. Carolyn Liedtke

Through the years, I've written many stories and illustrated them for my children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, and I can help you do the same. Believe me, they will cherish those stories like no others—because they will be written specifically for them. Here's how we can do it together: You tell me your story (via e-mail or regular mail or fax) and I will edit and publish it. The illustrations will be taken from photos you send or original drawings. Then, the story and illustrations are put together in a picture book. The book is spiral bound, with a laminated cover, hard enough to withstand many years of use.

Give your grandchildren a gift only you can give--a story about YOU!

Tell a story of something that Grandma or Grandpa did when they were children, or something you did with your grandchildren when they came to visit. Pictures of you and your grandchildren should be included. Young children are fascinated by such stories and will want to look at the books over and over again.

Here are some of the books I have published. They make wonderful Christmas or birthday presents. It costs less than you think to produce such a unique and personalized gift.

Eric's Magic Hat

Synopsis: Eric had a magic hat.
When he wore it, he could talk about anything. When he took it off, he couldn't think of anything to say. The only trouble was, when he wanted to wear it, it was impolite--at the dinner table or, thinking he was smart enough to go to school, in the classroom. So he decided to put the hat away until he was old enough to go to Kindergarten.

This story is appropriate for 2-3-year-olds just learning to talk. The book can be edited to include your child's name, and the pictures can be ones of your child and family.
(Hat not included.)

or with his family.
